Sales Intern – Lead Generation

Your Energy Solutions (YES) | Livermore, CA

Your Energy Solutions is looking for motivated college students in the Tri-Valley or surrounding areas for a paid internship in solar lead generation. This is a part-time opportunity designed to introduce students to the renewable energy industry and the fundamentals of sales, outreach, and customer engagement.

 

 

About the Role:

As a Sales Intern, you will be a key part of our outreach team, helping generate qualified leads and appointments for homeowners interested in going solar. You’ll canvas door-to-door in local neighborhoods, including active YES job sites, and spend time in the office confirming appointments and coordinating with our inside sales team.

Responsibilities include:
· Door-to-door canvassing in assigned Tri-Valley neighborhoods to educate homeowners about solar energy and generate interest
· Canvassing near active YES installation sites to build local trust and visibility
· Logging lead details and confirming appointment details in the CRM system
· Coordinating with our sales manager and team to ensure smooth handoff of leads
· Participating in weekly team training and feedback sessions

 

About You:

The ideal candidate is:
· Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking to new people face-to-face
· Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven
· Interested in clean energy, sustainability, or gaining professional sales experience
· Reliable and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
· A strong communicator with attention to detail
· Open to coaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement

 

Schedule:

· Part-Time: 20 hours per week
· Flexible: You may choose your own hours as long as they occur between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
· Some canvassing hours may be coordinated to align with YES installation projects for targeted neighborhood outreach

 

Compensation:

· $21.00/hour (Paid bi-weekly)
· $50 bonus for each qualified appointment booked

  • Appointments must be confirmed, completed, and meet YES lead qualification criteria
     

 

Advancement Opportunity:

At the 6-month mark, interns will undergo a performance review to assess promotion readiness. Successful candidates may advance into:
· A full-time Inside Sales Representative role
· A part-time or full-time Outside Sales Representative role
· A full-time Operations position within YES
· Or continue in the canvassing role if preferred and successful
