Founding Growth Partner (Trial Role)

Position: Founding Growth Partner (Trial Role)
Duration: 60–90 Days
Status: Part-Time (10–20 hours/week)
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid preferred)

Neighborhood Value Plus is a Portland-based startup changing the way neighborhoods improve themselves. We are the first to offer subscription-based services that address real community needs such as graffiti removal, overnight safety patrols, homeless intervention, and minor street and sidewalk repairs. All services are prioritized by local voting and delivered through neighborhood-wide collaboration.

We do not offer traditional landscaping. Our Green Grass Program restores dry or neglected lawns to increase curb appeal and raise property values without high-cost renovations.

We also believe a better neighborhood means a better life. That is why we host a monthly prize giveaway for subscribers, offering families access to services and rewards that improve their quality of life and bring something special into their homes.

Our sales approach is equally unique. Instead of focusing on individual homes, we are building bundled service plans around neighborhoods themselves, using outreach, referrals, and community-driven adoption to grow quickly and efficiently.

We are looking for someone to begin as our Founding Growth Partner, leading subscriber growth, partnerships, and outreach. This is not a support role. It is a builder’s role. You will work directly with the founder to test, scale, and shape the company as it grows.

If the fit is right and milestones are met, this role will grow into a permanent leadership position as Co-Founder and Director of Growth. You will be offered equity, the opportunity to help guide the future of the company, and the chance to become a legacy builder within a startup designed to scale citywide and beyond.

Purpose of Trial

This trial engagement establishes expectations, deliverables, and compensation for a part-time leadership role focused on sales and growth. If performance milestones are met, the candidate may be formally offered the full-time role of Co-Founder & Director of Growth, with equity participation and increased compensation.

 

Key Responsibilities During Trial

Drive new subscriber acquisition across target neighborhoods and verticals

Develop formal partnerships with sponsors, local businesses, and community organizations

Execute grassroots outreach and maintain a structured sales pipeline

Participate in weekly strategy sessions and collaborate with the core team

Represent the company professionally, with full alignment to our mission

Performance Milestones (Required for Co-Founder Offer)

To qualify for the Co-Founder title and equity, the following must be achieved during the trial period:

1. Subscriber Growth
Secure 20 or more new paid subscribers or generate the equivalent in recurring revenue.

2. Partnership Development
Establish at least two formal partnerships with local organizations, sponsors, or channel partners.

3. Outreach Pipeline
Log at least 40 targeted outreach contacts per month, including names, contact method, and engagement status.

4. Team Participation
Demonstrate consistent communication, strategic thinking, and dedication to shared goals.

 

Compensation

Monthly Stipend
$1,500–$2,000/month, paid based on milestone progress and documented hours.

Sales Commission
10% commission on all directly acquired paid subscriptions or sponsorship revenue.

Bonus Eligibility
A $250–$500 bonus may be awarded for exceeding expectations (e.g., 25+ subscribers, $5,000+ revenue, or 3+ partnerships).

Post-Trial Transition (If Successful)

Title: Co-Founder & Director of Growth

Equity: 10% equity stake, subject to standard 4-year vesting with 1-year cliff

Compensation: Increased monthly base, performance bonuses, and continued commission

Scaling Plan: Full-time transition opportunity at $10K–$20K MRR milestone

 

Long-Term Equity Incentive

To encourage long-term commitment and leadership, the Partner may be eligible for additional equity beyond the initial 10%, based on:

Sustained performance over 12+ months

Achievement of key revenue or subscriber milestones (e.g., $250K ARR, 1,000 subscribers)

Active leadership in scaling the company’s service zones, fundraising, or partnerships

All additional equity will be reviewed annually and subject to updated vesting schedules and board or founder approval.

 

Termination and Exit

The trial role includes no guaranteed equity unless all milestones are met and an offer is extended.

Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days’ written notice

Upon termination, access to internal tools, databases, and materials must be deactivated or returned immediately
