REMOTE Publishing Marketing & Distribution Intern

Sports Media Inc is expanding its reach into books, magazines, and multimedia publishing—and we’re looking for driven interns to help lead the charge in marketing and distribution. In this role, you’ll l Sports Media publishers of books, magazines, newsletters, educational material, and multimedia content—and now we’re building a stronger team to support our growing catalog. We’re seeking energetic and creative interns who want to gain hands-on experience in the marketing, advertising, and distribution of published works. This is your opportunity to be part of a real publishing business, working across national and international platforms like Amazon, OverDrive, Barnes & Noble, Scribd, and more.

Role Focus:
In this role, you’ll actively contribute to the promotion and sales of books and magazines through SEO, social media, digital advertising, email marketing, and direct outreach to libraries, schools, bookstores, and content platforms. This is the ideal internship if you want to develop real-world experience in marketing strategy, distribution logistics, and the full publishing lifecycle.

What You’ll Learn & Contribute To:

  • How to market books, magazines, and educational publications to libraries, schools, bookstores, and online retailers.
  • How to list, launch, and promote titles across platforms like Amazon KDP, OverDrive, Scribd, and Barnes & Noble Press.

  • Techniques in keyword optimization, metadata structuring, and SEO for publishing.
  • Building press lists and outreach strategies to increase visibility and sales.
  • Supporting sales funnels for print-on-demand and digital-only books.
  • Integrating publishing promotion with Sports Media’s entertainment and sports network.

Your Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Amazon KDP, Canva, Mailchimp, or Hootsuite is a plus.
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets, Google Workspace, and basic analytics tools.
  • Highly organized and deadline-oriented.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and willing to learn fast.
