OVERVIEW
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and general marketing support to marketing department in coordinating presentations, analyzing market trends, digital marketing, managing social medial channels, and other administrative duties. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for marketing who is looking to grow their career in the field.
This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with internal marketing, sales, and estimating teams, clients, and partners on marketing strategy and budget and implements approved strategy and budget
- Expand brand awareness; helps identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation
- Learns and works with various types of software for digital marketing
- Creates marketing materials such as presentations and slide decks
- Prepares, formats, and edits a range of documents
- Performs general administrative marketing duties including but not limited to correspondence, filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing, as needed
- Manage digital and physical marketing materials such as presentation decks, brochures, flyers, signage, business cards, direct mail pieces, and company swag
- Understands company product and brand
- Updates social media accounts and company website
- Maintains and orders supplies for the marketing department as needed
- Supports sales customized marketing needs or trade show needs
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field or current course work
- Sales or marketing experience preferred
- Experience with social media and website development preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in graphic design software such as Canva and Adobe
