Medical Assistant or Aesthetic Nurse– Aesthetic Medicine / Cosmetic Dermatology
Location: Manhattan, NY & Woodbury, Long Island 
Job Type: Full-time (4 days/week, in-person)
Salary: $50,000-$83,000per year

Manhattan Plastic Surgery is a renowned provider of medical aesthetic procedures and treatments. Our practice is committed to enhancing natural beauty through personalized care and the latest aesthetic technologies. We are looking for a Medical Assistant or Nurse with experience in aesthetic medicine or cosmetic dermatology to support our team at our Manhattan and Woodbury locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist provider during minimally-invasive aesthetic procedures

 

  • Draw blood for use with autologous procedures 

     
  • Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile environment, cleanliness and supply inventory

     
  • Take patient medical histories, measure vital signs, and document information accurately


 

  • Managing social media content by overseeing and organizing  before and after photos, patient consents and digital files.  

     
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care and expectations

     
  • Schedule consultations, follow-ups, and procedures

     
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records using EMR systems

     
  • Support administrative tasks as needed

     
  • Stay informed on current trends and new developments in the aesthetics field

     
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and social media presence (strongly preferred)

     

Qualifications

 

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (required) or Nursing degree

     
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

     
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in aesthetic medicine or cosmetic dermatology

     
  • Proficient with EMR systems

     
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic procedures and skincare treatments

     
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

     
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

     
  • Phlebotomy certification required
