Job Summary: 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team and support various initiatives across North America and Canada. This role offers hands-on experience in multiple HR functions, including policy development, talent acquisition, employee relations, records and retention, HRIS audits, and workflow standardization. The intern will gain valuable exposure to regional HR practices, systems, and cross-border collaboration. Join an HR team that’s passionate about helping you thrive. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Policy Development

  • Assist in reviewing, drafting, and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and internal standards.
  • Conduct benchmarking research and help prepare recommendations for policy updates.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to support policy documentation, distribution, and training initiatives.

Talent Acquisition

  • Support recruiting activities such as job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Assist with onboarding tasks including documentation, scheduling, and welcome materials.
  • Help develop recruitment toolkits and intern program support resources.

Employee Relations

  • Participate in employee engagement activities and feedback initiatives.
  • Assist in documenting conversations, concerns, and trends as part of employee relations tracking.
  • Help prepare communication materials, surveys, and reports to support culture and engagement efforts.

Records & Retention

  • Conduct file audits to ensure proper documentation, retention, and confidentiality standards are met.
  • Help digitize and organize employee records within the HRIS and shared systems.
  • Assist in updating document retention schedules and ensuring consistent file naming and archiving practices.

HRIS Support & Workflow Standardization

  • Perform ad hoc HRIS audits to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance.
  • Assist in documenting and improving existing HR workflows related to onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
  • Contribute to standardization efforts by creating process guides, checklists, and workflow documentation.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team on system testing, data cleanup, and minor system configuration tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Interest in HR operations, compliance, and systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience or interest in HRIS platforms is a plus.
  • French and/or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
