Communications Associate – Texas Alliance for Life

About Texas Alliance for Life

Texas Alliance for Life is a statewide nonprofit organization committed to protecting the fundamental right to life of all innocent human beings and promoting respect for their value and dignity from the moment of conception until natural death, using peaceful, legal means. We oppose the advocacy and practice of abortion (except to preserve the mother’s life), infanticide, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.

Position Overview

The Communications Associate works directly with the Communications Director to advance the pro-life mission of Texas Alliance for Life through compelling visual, written, and digital content. This creative and administrative role involves producing graphics, video content, and print materials, as well as posting website updates and blog posts.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented communicator with strong creative and administrative instincts, visual storytelling abilities, and a passion for life-affirming messaging. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, collaborative, and experienced in utilizing design, video, and social media tools.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong personal commitment to the pro-life mission of Texas Alliance for Life.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit video content.
  • Working knowledge of lighting, camera, and audio equipment.
  • Familiarity with WordPress for blog posting and website updates.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and current trends (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, YouTube, Truth Social).
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance content creation and communications is a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for digital and print.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Collaborative and creative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Full-time position based in Austin, TX.
  • Must be available for some weekend events.
