Multi-Media Account Executive

The WXTX Multi-Media Account Executive is a career minded Television/Digital sales professional, with a keen interest in television and digital marketing.  They demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers and offer innovative marketing solutions for clients on behalf of our station.   Account Executives are primarily responsible for driving television and digital advertising revenue, while upholding the reputation and integrity of our station.

 

WXTX AE’s must have exceptional listening and organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and be a positive, goal-oriented, team player.  Strong time management and communication skills are required.   They are problem solvers who's focused on advertising solutions for businesses, and able to handle objections. 

 

Multi-media Account Executive Responsibilities:

  • Achieving or exceeding budgets for broadcast, digital and multicast outlets as assigned by the General Sales Manager.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all sales tools, products, and platforms.
  • Responsible for engaging, learning, and committing new products into their sales arsenal.
  • Conducting thorough needs analysis with all clients and using knowledge collected to create and present marketing campaigns for them.
  • Researching market trends to benefit clients and to build better campaigns for advertisers.
  • Identifying and engaging with businesses on behalf of the station; also known as cold calling.
  • Properly and responsibly manage all relationships with existing advertisers shared with you by the station.
  • Negotiation and execution of all campaigns placed through advertising agencies as assigned.
  • Maintain direct relationships with all clients including those with agencies.
  • Follow all expectations for timely execution of all new orders, revisions, closed proposals, etc. to include order submission, entry, production and traffic instructions.  This also includes “share” information to GM for station reporting.
  • Responsible for promptly advising client or their agency representative of pre-empts, program changes or any issues with their schedules in order to maintain their budget spending and promised deliveries on impressions.  This includes swift make up of under delivery the station may owe, or researched response to any credits requested by the agency.
  • AE’s are responsible for entering all client and agency information into Matrix to include all contact info, .activities, and deals.  This CRM system should be updated daily to close wins and losses and enter in new deals to properly establish sales funnels. 
  • Responsible for communicating in a timely manner with all support staff in order to execute campaigns and ensure they are in the system within 48 hours.
  • Communicates directly promptly with the GM/GSM on all sales, negotiations and relationships with advertisers and agencies to include but not limited to proposals, avails, ratings challenges, UD weight, credits, negotiations, pacing, etc.
  • AE’s are responsible for outside sales, however, they must be in the office daily at 8:30a and back by 4:45p unless cleared with management otherwise in advance or taking a sick day.  The end of the workday is 5:30pm, but may be responsible for work outside of normal business hours.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by station management.
