Role Overview
We seek a Marketing Coordinator with a competitive or coaching background in weightlifting, CrossFit, or powerlifting to lead our brand growth. This role combines traditional marketing expertise with hands-on strength sports knowledge to authentically engage our community, manage athlete partnerships, and execute high-impact events.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Assist in developing and executing omnichannel marketing strategies (digital, social media, print, email, influencer, and events).
- Manage email marketing campaigns, ensuring content aligns with brand voice and drives engagement.
- Collaborate with the eCommerce team to create compelling product descriptions, promotional materials, and SEO-optimized website content.
- Develop and distribute content across blogs, social media, ads, and print.
2. Event Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end event planning (product launches, pop-ups, athlete meetups, trade shows).
- Coordinate logistics, vendors, budgets, and post-event reporting.
- Partner with athletes/influencers to amplify event reach and engagement.
3. Athlete & Influencer Engagement
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with athletes, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
- Develop partnership campaigns (e.g., sponsored content, co-branded events).
- Track performance metrics (ROI, engagement, conversions) for influencer collaborations.
4. Social Media & Community Management
- Manage all social media channels, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and proactive engagement.
- Monitor trends and leverage UGC (athlete/influencer content) to boost brand authenticity.
5. Analytics & Optimization
- Analyze marketing and event performance (KPIs, ROI, traffic, conversion) to refine strategies.
- Optimize eCommerce product listings and UX based on data insights.
Qualifications:
- Must be an active participant in Olympic weightlifting, Powerlifting or CrossFit (minimum 2 years of training, competition, or coaching experience).
- 3+ years in marketing (agency or in-house), with event planning and influencer management experience preferred.
- Proven track record in social media growth, email marketing, and content creation.
- Strong project management skills (budgets, timelines, cross-functional collaboration).
- Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, and eCommerce platforms (Shopify, etc.).
- Passion for sports/fitness (experience in the industry is a plus).
