Description:
Shopper Local is looking for qualified sales interns to prospect, generate leads, and call prospective customers. Our goal is to deliver a compelling and realistic sales internship in local advertising industry. This opportunity will include rigorous training, and real-world sales experience. Interns will gain hands on experience working with a global team and supporting offshore sales executives.
Sales Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Identification
- Research and identify potential clients through online databases & sources, directories and social media.
- Compile, validate and update lead lists based on target industries or regions.
Outreach
- Follow up with prospects to qualify interest and gather relevant information.
- Real time call transfers of interested business owners to Sales Representatives; most of whom are in India.
- Master the Shopper Local outbound lead generation script and follow up.
Collaboration with Sales Team
- Work closely with sales representatives to pass on qualified leads for follow-up.
- Schedule calls or meetings between prospects and sales reps as needed.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain daily/weekly reports on lead generation activity.
- Share feedback on outreach results and prospect responses to enhance processes.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge and lead generation best practices.
- Shadow senior sales team members to understand the full sales cycle.

- Cold Calling experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week; maximum of 30 a week
- Must complete a personality profile and match our proven characteristics of success in this role
- Must have your own computer as calls are made through a VICIdial software.
Benefits:
- $15.00 per hour plus commission; commissions/incentives paid weekly
- With commissions, current interns in like companies are making between $20 - $23 per hour
- Opportunity to earn a place on the Shopper Local Sales Team following graduation
