Graduate Assistant - Content Creation/Social Media/Gameday
Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in the operations of home athletic events and for enhancing the experience for community members and providing a greater content presence for branding, in athletics.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in developing a strategic marketing and promotion plan to increase awareness, engage and entertain fans, and increase attendance for all athletic programs. Promote all programs and special events through community relations by organizing internal and external community groups. Oversee all game day promotions surrounding home athletic events through the creation and execution of game presentation, production and scripts.
2. Serve as game day manager for fall, winter and spring sports. Assist with all event responsibilities including set up and take down and overseeing events. Responsible for initiating contact with all visiting athletic teams to identify gameday needs. Coordinate the set up and take down for home athletics events.
3. On-site supervision of event management student workers. Coordinate home athletic events by facilitating student worker staff. Oversee the hiring, training, work performance, and evaluation of student workers for the event management team.
4. Other duties as assigned Athletics Staff
Other Functions:
1. Develop relationships within Benedictine University and the University community.
2. Attend departmental and University related meetings and events.
3. Maintain a positive student athlete assessment for program from student athletes.
4. Work in coordination with University offices and departments to coordinate and facilitate University events.
5. Maintain positive relationships with alumni, parents, students, officials, volunteers and fans.
6. Serve on University, conference and national committees as needed.
7. Positively promote Benedictine University and the Department of Athletics on campus and in the community.
