Development Coordinator

Recovery Café Description: 

Our Mission: Recovery Café is a community of individuals who have experienced trauma and the results of trauma like homelessness, addiction, and other mental health challenges coming to know we are loved and that we have gifts to share. 

Recovery Café was founded on the understanding that every human being is precious and beloved regardless of past trauma, mental and emotional anguish, or addictive behaviors. We provide a beautiful, safe, warm, drug and alcohol free space and loving community to anchor Members (our most closely-supported participants) in the sustained recovery needed to gain and maintain access to housing, social and health services, healthy relationships, education, and employment.

Position Description:

The Development Coordinator is a critical member of the resource development team that ensures Recovery Café generates the resources to sustain and further our mission. The Development Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining and managing the Raiser’s Edge/NXT donor database and supporting all fundraising activities, including our annual fundraising lunch. We seek an individual who demonstrates the ability to consistently uphold the mission, philosophy, and policies of Recovery Café. This is a 40-hour per week position and requires the Coordinator to be on site. The Coordinator exercises this responsibility under the direction of the Director of Resource Development.

The Development Coordinator’s Responsibilities:

●        Process and track all financial and in-kind gifts in the Raiser’s Edge/NXT donor database.

●        Prepare donor acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.

●        Maintain and manage the Raiser’s Edge database and paper files.

●        Maintain confidentiality of donor information and confidentiality of Café Members.

●        Provide donor relations support in person, through email, and by phone.

●        Work with the Café’s finance team to reconcile gift accounting.

●        Schedule donors, volunteers, and corporate partners for tours, events, and coffee meetings at Recovery Café.

●        Provide support for events, including: designing event materials, tracking registrations, working with outside vendors, and coordinating event logistics.

●        Assist with preparing grant applications, reports, and articles for the Café’s communications to supporters.

●        Help maintain information shared on Recovery Café’s website, blog, and social media channels.

●        Other duties as assigned.

●      A minimum of one year of experience with data responsibilities within Raiser’s Edge     or similar CRM (fundraising database).

●  Someone who is comfortable seeking guidance as needed.

●  Someone who embraces an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse population and brings a genuine commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.

●        A strong desire to support individuals in recovery from the trauma and effects of trauma such as addiction, mental health challenges, and/or being unhoused.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Compensation and Benefits
