Account Manager

About the Internship:

We're looking for a dynamic and motivated soon-to-be or recent graduate with a passion for digital marketing and an interest in higher education or performance marketing.

This opportunity will begin as a paid internship for the first 3–5 months, working approximately 15–20 hours per week. During this internship period, you will:

  • Build skills in digital marketing and client management through weekly training sessions
  • Gain hands-on experience by shadowing experienced team members during real client meetings and projects
  • Learn the fundamentals of performance marketing, budget tracking, reporting, and strategic client relationships
  • Develop leadership skills as you grow into a client-facing role
  • Get exposed to other areas like creative, media, and analytics to help ensure you develop a well-rounded understanding of our business
  • Support account managers and project managers with various tasks and projects

At the end of the internship period, there is the potential for a full-time hire based on performance and business needs.

 

Full Job Description:

If hired full-time, your role would transition into an Account Manager position, leading marketing strategies and solutions for client relationships. 

The following are the responsibilities and duties of the role, but are not an all-inclusive list and may vary based on account assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building and Client Management
    • Take initiative in understanding clients' needs, goals, and preferences to provide valuable recommendations
    • Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc client meetings to track progress and strategize next steps
    • Eventually becoming a key point of contact for clients and support the senior team in maintaining strong relationships
  • Media Planning
    • Collaborate with the media team to identify potential media opportunities for clients
    • Learn how each channel is performing and contribute ideas to improve campaign results
    • Assist in setting up new channels and campaigns, supporting their launch and optimization
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Help prepare weekly reports and assist in gathering data to assess campaign performance
    • Support the maintenance of client budget documents and keep track of budget changes, working towards the goal of eventually being able to maintain full oversight of client budget documents
    • Collaborate with the analytics team to analyze data and present findings to clients
    • Review reports regularly to spot trends or issues and work with the media team to optimize campaigns
  • Project Management & Other
    • Move projects forward for each client by working with our internal team and the client's
    • Work closely with others on your clients’ accounts, such as project manager, media, analytics, creative strategists, etc
    • Act as a leader and trusted advisor to the client


Requirements:

  • Applicants must be graduating within a few months or have graduated within the last 3–4 years
  • Excellent time management, impeccable organization, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal colleagues and external clients
  • Enjoy working independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Interest in marketing strategy and digital marketing is a must!
