HR Internship

Job Summary 

RefrigiWear, the industry's leading manufacturer of insulated industrial workwear, accessories, and person-protective equipment for subzero temperatures, inclement weather, and low-visibility environments, is seeking a dynamic and motivated college student to work with us through an HR Internship. Located out of our company headquarters in Dahlonega, GA, this internship is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced HR professionals and contribute to the daily operations that support our employees and company culture. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

• Coordinate interview scheduling, reference checks, and applicant tracking updates. 
• Assist with new hire onboarding including paperwork preparation and orientation support. 
• Maintain employee files and ensure documentation compliance. 
• Support HR initiatives such as engagement programs, wellness activities, and policy updates. 
• Partner with functional leaders and HR department to create training and communication calendars. 
• Draft and edit internal HR communications and announcements. 
• Help prepare reports and assist with HR data entry and audits. 
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team. 

Education and Experience Required: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field. 
• Previous office, administrative, or customer service experience. 
• Exposure to HR software or applicant tracking systems. 

Skills and Abilities 

• Leadership Skills - Excellent communication & interpersonal skills both written and verbal - Keen attention to detail 
• Efficient problem solving – High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Eager to learn, ask questions, and take initiative 

Working Environment and Physical Demands 

• Frequently required to sit; have flexible use of hands; and talk or hear.  
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
