Position Overview:
CVSD is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dedicated HR team. This full-time position plays a critical role in supporting the comprehensive HR functions of the district, ensuring efficient and effective operations that contribute to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support: Manage recruitment process, including creating and posting job advertisements (internal and external), support building leaders with candidate sourcing and the hiring process.
- Job Posting Management: Develop, disseminate, and maintain accurate internal and external job postings across various platforms.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management: Administer and optimize the district's applicant tracking system to ensure accurate record-keeping, efficient workflow, and compliance.
- Staffing List Management: Maintain and update comprehensive staffing lists, ensuring accuracy of employee data and organizational structure.
- Extension of Break/Leave of Absence (LOA) Requests: Process and manage requests for extensions of breaks and leaves of absence in accordance with district policies and relevant regulations.
- Substitute Sourcing and Management: Actively source qualified substitute staff, including recruitment, onboarding, and communication. Support building substitute managers and building leaders with substitute needs.
- Frontline (Absence Management System) Administration: Serve as an administrator for the Frontline absence management system, ensuring its efficient use for tracking and managing employee absences.
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Department as needed.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive HR information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, not required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of experience in a human resources, finance or administrative role, preferably within a public education or similar large organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
