Why does the job exist?

 

This position will enable the necessary application review and entry into the patient management system, and determination of approval or need for additional requirements for the application. This position will interface with patients and caregivers in order to help them enroll and access the medical cannabis program and online patient portal.

How does it get done?

 

Data entry of applications received into the patient management system
Administrative review of applications received electronically and paper copies
Administrative approval of enrollment or notification of application deficiencies to patients, caregivers, and medical providers
Interact with patients, caregivers, and potential patients in person, electronically, and on the telephone
Ensure patient files are complete and filed correctly
Process incoming and outgoing correspondence and mail

Who are the customers?

 

Medical Cannabis Program Patients; medical providers; and patient caregivers.

Ideal Candidate

 

Customer Service Experience, including in-person, telephone, and online
Experience helping individuals complete applications for services
Experience working with electronic and paper copy medical records
Outgoing Personality

Minimum Qualification

 

High School diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years of experience in customer service, office administration, government assistance programs such as welfare, unemployment benefits, social security benefits, and/or public housing. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Working Conditions

 

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.  Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs).
