Marketing and Graphics Designer Intern

Position – Marketing and Graphics Designer Intern

Location - American Tenet, San Antonio, TX

Duration - Summer 2025

About Us -

American Tenet is at the forefront of developing an autonomous, unmanned, fixed-wing drone that can remain aloft for months without an engine. We endeavor to reach altitudes of 90,000 feet and create the world's first unmanned commercial aircraft to autonomously circumnavigate the globe with the ability to land and take off from the ocean surface. Our focus is combining cutting-edge technology while leveraging underutilized resources to deliver force-multiplying capabilities to our commercial, government civil, and defense customers. We seek a motivated and talented Business Development Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer.

As a Marketing and Graphics Designer Intern, you’ll design marketing materials for client interactions (5 leave-behind one-pagers: brochures, spec sheets) and pitch documents (10-slide deck and 2-page leave-behind) targeting clients like Booz Allen and VCs, focusing on drone specs, market potential, and team strengths. You’ll also assist the Web Developer Intern (~30% effort) with graphic assets (banners, infographics, drone visuals) for our webpage. Using Six Sigma tools, you’ll deliver sleek, tech-focused designs aligned with American Tenet’s branding, enhancing our client and online presence.

Responsibilities -

  • Assist with Business Development Interns in crafting branding materials (e.g., pitch decks, brochures, and more) for outreach with VC clients and potential investors and business partners.
  • Assist the Web Developer Intern (~30% effort) with webpage graphics (e.g., banners, infographics, drone visuals) for external and SharePoint sites.
  • Interact with the Video Content Creator interns as they develop their video and social media content.
  • Develop a Week 1 project plan with a Gantt Chart of dependencies and milestones for the 7-week execution phase.
  • Ensure all designs align with American Tenet’s sleek, tech-focused branding (existing logo/colors) in PDF and PowerPoint formats.
  • Present weekly updates to James Oleen and final materials to CEO/COO and the Web Developer Intern for review and integration.

Qualifications -

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with InDesign, Canva, and PowerPoint a plus (training provided).
  • Basic web design skills (e.g., UI/UX) and experience with branding preferred.
  • Interest in Six Sigma tools (e.g., Gantt Chart) or willingness to learn.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Benefits -

  • Hands-on experience designing for a cutting-edge tech startup.
  • Mentorship from American Tenet advisors, with training in design tools.
