Junior Game Development Intern

🎯 About the Role:

Do you love game design, coding, or digital creativity? Want to make a real impact on youth in Detroit? This internship is your chance to lead from the front.

Streamtek Labs is partnering with Dreamtek to deliver one of Detroit’s most exciting summer youth programs — teaching high school students real-world game development skills. As a Junior Game Development Intern, you’ll help lead hands-on workshops in game design, animation, 3D modeling, and more.

You don’t need to be a pro — you need to be motivated, dependable, and passionate about helping others grow.

🕹️ Responsibilities:

Facilitate game development activities for youth ages 13–18

Assist students with beginner tools like Roblox Studio, Unity, or Scratch

Guide group projects and creative problem solving

Use Streamtek’s tech platform and Discord for daily check-ins

Model professionalism, teamwork, and creativity

Submit weekly progress updates and help prepare for a program showcase

✅ Qualifications:

Interest in game design, coding, digital art, or youth development

Comfortable working in teams and leading small groups

Strong communication and time management

Bonus: Experience working with teens or individuals with disabilities

Must be available for full summer schedule (20 hrs/week, June–August)

Paid W-2 stipend ($16–18/hour equivalent)
