Human Resources Intern

Neighbors Federal Credit Union is seeking a part-time Intern to join our Human Resources team to work 25 hours per week at the YMCA Plaza Branch. 

 Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the NFCU recruitment process.  This includes publishing requisitions, contacting and assessing applicants, communicating with candidates regarding hire process.
  • Processing verifications of employment.
  • Generating benefit statements.
  • Maintaining employee files manually and electronically.
  • Assisting HR department with assigned tasks.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must either be currently pursing a degree in Human Resources at an accredited college or university at a senior or graduate level and in good standing or have graduated May 2024 or later with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe
  • Ability to exercise considerable discretion regarding confidential information
  • Possess a high level of self-motivation and independent judgment
  • Ability to successfully manage projects while completing day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interface effectively and build rapport with all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills

 

This internship is for a minimum six months with an hourly rate of $18.
