Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Editing Intern to join our team and contribute to the success of our video podcast and other productions. This internship offers hands-on experience in video editing and content creation, with a focus on crafting compelling and shareable clips for social media. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, and passionate about storytelling through video. The producer and host of the podcast is a dynamic TV personality from an A+ list TV franchise. 

Her podcast spotlights engaging conversations with celebrities and industry moguls in entertainment, fashion, and social media. As an intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to liaise directly with high-profile guests and major brand sponsors featured on the show! This is an unpaid internship designed for college credit and professional experience. Candidates must be enrolled in a college or university internship program.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing

• Edit weekly podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality video and audio synchronization.
• Create engaging, professional, and polished final cuts for publication across platforms like YouTube.
• Apply visual and audio enhancements, such as graphics, captions, sound effects, and color correction.

Social Media Content Creation

• Develop short, attention-grabbing clips from podcast episodes tailored for platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, TikTok, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, and Snapchat.
• Optimize video content for each platform, understanding the specific formats and audiences.
• Stay on top of viral trends and incorporate creative elements to increase shareability and engagement.

Collaboration and Brainstorming

• Work closely with the production and marketing teams to align on the creative vision for episodes and promotional content.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas for video content and viral strategies.

File Management and Organization

• Maintain an organized file system for all video and audio assets.
• Ensure timely delivery of all editing projects to meet publishing schedules.
• Upload videos and podcast episodes to respective platforms and drives.

Qualifications:

• Current student enrolled in a college or university program eligible for internship credit.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and/or DaVinci Resolve).
• Familiarity with creating platform-specific content for social media.
• Strong understanding of storytelling and pacing in video editing.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, go-getter attitude. Open to bringing forward new ideas and pitching.
• Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus but not required.
