Student Advocacy Fellow
Location: Virginia-based colleges and universities
Type: Part-time, 9-month fellowship
Stipend: $2,500 total
About the Program:
The Student Advocacy Fellowship, powered by REPRO Rising Virginia, is a leadership development program for student organizers ready to take bold action for reproductive freedom on their campuses and in their communities. Our program equips the next generation of leaders with the skills, knowledge, and support to drive change on campus and beyond. Fellows gain direct access to activists, policymakers, and grassroots organizers, learning firsthand from those leading the fight. Through hands-on practice, they apply their training to create lasting impact, building skills that will shape the future of reproductive freedom.
What You’ll Do:
✔️ Lead campus-based advocacy efforts focused on reproductive freedom
✔️ Design and implement at least one advocacy campaign
✔️ Participate in weekly training calls, workshops, and political education
✔️ Receive personalized coaching, mentorship, and support
✔️ Contribute to digital organizing through social media and storytelling
✔️ Collaborate with other fellows across Virginia to shift policy and culture
Who you are:
- Second-year or beyond at a Virginia college or University
- Able to commit 8–10 hours per week from August–April
- Passionate about social justice
- Curious and eager to learn
- Community-oriented
- Excited to be part of something bigger
- No prior organizing or advocacy experience required
