
Business Development Intern
Location: Baton Rouge, LA (On-site)
Industry: Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Services
Duration: Summer 2025 (10–12 weeks) with potential to extend
Compensation: Hourly + performance-based bonus opportunities
Hours per week: 15–25 (flexible with class schedule, but must be between 8A-5P M-F)
Position Overview
We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Business Development Intern to support our lead generation and appointment-setting efforts. You’ll work directly with our leadership team to identify prospects, reach out to business owners and decision-makers, and schedule meetings that lead to new partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to prospects
- Qualify leads based on industry, company size, and IT needs
- Schedule appointments for the outside sales team
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM (Pipedrive)
- Assist with follow-up campaigns and lead research
- Participate in weekly check-ins and sales training
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (Business, Sales, Marketing, or related)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable speaking on the phone with business professionals
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service or sales experience
- Interest in cybersecurity, IT, or B2B sales
- Experience using a CRM system (Pipedrive, HubSpot, etc.)
