K12 Education Sales Development Representative

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and driven SDR to join our team and play a critical role in driving Hilight’s growth. As our founding sales hire, you will collaborate directly with the CEO to develop and execute strategies that generate leads, secure new clients, and build long-lasting partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a mission-driven company while having a direct impact on schools and educators across the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and generate qualified leads through research, outreach, and creative prospecting strategies.
  • Meeting Coordination: Secure meetings with potential clients, book appointments, and prepare for discussions by gathering insights and tailoring presentations.
  • Meeting Support: Work closely with the CEO to support sales meetings, provide input during discussions, and ensure client needs are addressed effectively.
  • Follow-Up and Closing: Conduct timely follow-ups to nurture client relationships, close deals, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.
  • Renewal Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and securing renewals.
  • Collaboration: Partner with CEO to refine sales strategies, identify opportunities for growth, and contribute to the overall sales plan.
  • Travel: Travel up to 25% of the time to meet clients, attend conferences, and represent Hilight at events.
  • Innovation: Proactively identify creative sales opportunities and strategies to expand Hilight’s reach and impact.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the K-12 education space, ideally with direct teaching or district-level experience.
  • Deep passion for education and an appreciation for the hard work and dedication of teachers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solver who is eager to contribute to a growing company with a mission-driven focus.
