Elementary Teacher

Elementary and Middle School Teacher Positions – Southside Community School 

Southside Community School is a dynamic charter school located in southern Tucson, providing a supportive and challenging environment for students in daycare through 8th grade. As a Title I school, we are dedicated to empowering our community by providing a high-quality education to students who need it most. We offer free breakfast, lunch, and snacks, along with free daycare and all-day kindergarten. Our after-school program is also available until 5:00 P.M.

Job Duties Include: 

Designing, planning, and implementing engaging lesson plans in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. 

Assessing and responding to student performance through both formal and informal assessments. 

Managing and maintaining an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment. 

Actively participating in team collaboration and professional development activities. 

Tracking and maintaining accurate classroom attendance. 

Contributing to decision-making about student promotion and retention in partnership with administration and the governing board. 

Minimum Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s degree. 

Classroom experience preferred but not required. 

A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. 

A passion for innovative problem-solving and creative teaching. 

AZDPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. 

AEPA Elementary Education Subtests I and II. 

SEI Endorsement.

Monday to Friday 

8-hour shifts 

Day shift, with after-school commitments
