The Illinois Department of Human Services is hiring a Clinical Psychologist at the Alton Mental Health Center in Madison County. Join a multidisciplinary team committed to serving individuals found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) or Unfit to Stand Trial (UST), and help shape the future of forensic mental health services in Illinois.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Serve as an advanced clinician in a forensic psychiatric hospital setting
• Administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments and prepare reports
• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions
• Provide diagnostic classifications and testify in court hearings
• Develop behavioral management plans for patients with challenging behaviors
• Collaborate with treatment teams and participate in case reviews

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Must be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Experience in forensic or psychiatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to evaluate, document, and communicate complex psychological findings

🛡 Conditions of Employment Include:
• CPR certification and CPI training (within probationary period)
• Physical ability to restrain patients if necessary
• Ability to pass background and drug screening
• Travel to attend training/seminars may be required
