The HR Director is a vital leader at the center of our dedicated and diverse team. This individual is both a strategic partner and a cultural champion, leading all human capital strategies while fostering an inclusive, mission-aligned work environment. Reporting to the CEO, the HR Director advises leadership, supports employee engagement and belonging, and oversees HR operations including recruitment, compliance, onboarding, and benefits. With a global and remote workforce, this role requires a deep commitment to people, human connection, and organizational values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and policies aligned with GroundTruth's values and goals.
Serve as a strategic advisor to Executive Leadership and Management on workforce planning.
Gain organizational insight to tailor HR initiatives that support mission delivery and team success.
Champion organizational culture, values, engagement, and inclusion.
Lead all HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance.
Manage partnership with PEO/payroll provider to ensure smooth HR operations.
Design and administer competitive and employee-centered benefits programs.
Oversee performance management, training, retention, and engagement strategies.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
Collaborate with external consultants to support global HR needs.
Serve as a trusted resource for staff, providing coaching and resolving conflicts.
Analyze HR data and identify improvement opportunities.
Promote the organization's employer brand and support talent attraction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, I/O Psychology, or related field.
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including strategic planning and organizational leadership.
Strong track record partnering with executive teams and managing workforce planning.
Demonstrated experience with organizational culture, staff development, and DEIB strategies.
In-depth understanding of organizational dynamics and customized HR strategy implementation.
Expertise in benefits management and employee communication.
Proficiency in HR compliance, compensation, and operational leadership.
Experience supporting remote and distributed teams; global HR experience is a plus.
Skilled in HRIS platforms and data-informed decision-making.
SHRM-SCP or PHR certification preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasional travel to offsite locations may be required, including outside of standard business hours.
Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, video, email, or in person.
Requires regular use of a computer and the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
Must be comfortable working across various levels of the organization and managing remote relationships.
