Graphic Designer

Title: Graphic Designer

Location:  Batesville, IN, 47006-Hybrid role

Duration:12 Months Assignment (Possible extension)

Shift: M-F, 8 AM 5 PM

Position Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) programs to gain hands-on experience supporting the development of medical devices.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize new product features, enhance user interface designs, and support product labeling initiatives. You'll gain real-world exposure to multiple phases of the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and R&D teams to support ideation and concept development.
  • Assist with UI/UX design efforts, including visuals, wireframes, mockups, and labeling assets.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and translate customer needs into intuitive design concepts.
  • Prepare presentation materials such as slides, images, and interactive demos.
  • Work with the Global Design team to prioritize tasks and meet project goals.
  • Apply HCI principles and design thinking methods to support development initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's program in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)-related field.
  • Strong creative and visualization skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design and usability concepts.

Preferred Skills & Software Proficiency:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) – Advanced proficiency preferred
  • Figma – Strong plus
  • Adobe XD – Plus
  • KeyShot, Strata 3D CX – Basic knowledge is a plus
  • 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidEdge) – Familiarity is a plus
  • Microsoft Office – Preferred (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Comfortable working in both Mac and PC environments

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong sketching and illustration skills are a plus
  • Exposure to user testing or usability engineering methods is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Reliable personal transportation is required for onsite work

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid model with at least 3 onsite days per week in the Batesville, IN office
  • Some flexibility in work hours depending on project needs
