Human Resource Intern
Intern will work closely with an assigned Mentor to attain property management experience associated with their field of study/interest, including the brand, customer, product, and goals. The hands-on learning environment will involve tasks and special projects related to their department; culminating in a presentation supporting their experience and program take-a-ways.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and develop essential skills for a career in Human Resources. The HR Intern will support day-to-day HR operations, contribute to ongoing projects, and assist with various administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Day to day tasks will vary greatly depending upon projects/needs but will include:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and company career page.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork and facilitating orientation sessions.
- Employee Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
- Ensure all employee documentation is accurately filed and confidentially stored.
- Assist in the audit of employee files to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- HR Operations Support:
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying employee time and attendance data.
- Help organize and coordinate employee training sessions and development programs.
- Employee Relations:
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Assist in handling employee inquiries and resolving routine HR-related issues.
- Support the HR team in conducting employee surveys and compiling results.
- HR Projects:
- Contribute to special HR projects, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, performance management processes, and policy reviews.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- General Administrative Tasks:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient HR office environment.
