Inventory Data Analyst (Supporting Purchasing)
Responsibilities:

Inventory Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze inventory levels, trends, and turnover rates to optimize stock availability.
- Develop and maintain inventory reports and dashboards for purchasing teams.

Demand Forecasting & Stock Optimization:
- Use historical data and market trends to forecast demand and prevent over/under-stocking.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory to support purchasing decisions.

Purchasing Support:
- Provide data-driven insights to assist purchasing teams in procurement planning.
- Help determine optimal order quantities and reorder points based on sales and consumption trends.

Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Recommend strategies to reduce inventory carrying costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Identify gaps in procurement and inventory workflows and suggest optimizations.

Data Management & System Integration:
- Maintain inventory databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of stock records.
- Work with ERP, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and procurement systems to improve data accuracy.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with suppliers, warehouse managers, and procurement teams to ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Provide regular inventory health reports to purchasing and finance teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Understanding of supply chain, demand planning, and inventory optimization principles.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, warehouse, and logistics.
