Administrative/Program Assistant

Dugas Community Park is seeking applications for an Administrative/Program Assistant.

Dugas Community Park is a 340-acre rural heritage park located in Scottsville, Kentucky dedicated to

offering a unique blend of outdoor recreation, historical preservation, experiential education, and community celebration. This position will be a key component of the administrative team and report to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general clerical duties; type correspondence; make travel arrangements; answer phones and serving as general office receptionist; ensure mail is opened each day and handled appropriately; and file office paperwork
  • Support professional staff by assisting with their necessary duties and responsibilities in addition to preparation for multiple events.
  • Perform light record and bookkeeping for financial transactions
  • Keeping a master calendar and timelines for office events/tasks and annual fund appeals
  • Coordinate printing and ordering of materials for events and mailings; maintain inventory and order supplies when needed; and monitor inventory, sales, and distribution of our merchandising programs
  • Organize professional office space
  • Coordinate office public communications and park facility rental programs
  • Other duties as assigned by respective Dugas Community Park professional staff

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills; enhanced computer skills, and the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Some evening and weekend work is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Software proficiency

Expected Salary Range: $2,500- $3,000.00 per month; salary is commensurate with experience.
