Online Library Researcher
Internship (1 year) - 5 hrs/week. 240 hours. Interested in organizing and managing books? Learn the skills on discovering and searching for new books and adding to and maintaining a library online for the whole world to access and learn from. Learn a new skill and practice it while building the archive. An ultra part time internship.
Internship (6 months) - 10 hrs/week. 240 hours. Learn the skills on discovering and searching for new books and adding to and maintaining a library online for the whole world to access and learn from. Learn a new skill and practice it while building the archive.
Internship Time Period
TWELVE MONTHS POSITION: Position opens every quarter. Intern needs to commit a minimum of 5 hours each week. Minimum 12 months commitment.
SIX MONTHS POSITION: Position opens every quarter. Intern needs to commit a minimum of 10 hours each week. Minimum 6 months commitment.
Remote position
Job Description
o Develop your research skills while helping to make Partition literature more accessible
o Assist in developing a multilingual digital catalog of books, films, multimedia and other educational resources on Partition
o Organize and maintain collection for ease of use by patrons
Job Requirements
o Strong communication and research skills
o Ability to work in a team
o Strong passion for preserving history and expanding our stories
o Develop and curate summaries of library materials to be shared with the public
Internship Expectations
Interns are expected to develop ownership of their projects and encouraged to develop creative solutions. Intern must have a strong passion for and dedication to our mission and goals. Interns will receive relevant training, fieldwork experience as well as guaranteed references for successfully completing their internship term. This internship is unpaid but interns may apply for credit or funding through their college or university. Successful interns, at the end of their tenure, may be considered for any paid positions that are available.
All interns will be working remotely.
