Are you a visual storyteller looking to build hands-on experience with video and multimedia? Use your creativity to build trust and make a meaningful impact, serving the residents of Roseville. Gain valuable experience and grow by collaborating with our innovative Public Affairs and Communications team.
The successful candidate will use their creativity to develop their skills while working with our award-winning video production team. The person in this role will have the opportunity to plan and participate in the City’s live television broadcasts while gaining hands-on experience operating technical equipment in the broadcast control room and assisting with the setup and operation of on-site livestream events. Additionally, the selected applicant will write, produce, edit, and create engaging video content while building and nurturing positive relationships with coworkers, fellow City employees, and the public. Applicants should have a basic understanding of media production and distribution processes, digital television, and be familiar with common broadcast equipment, audio and video streaming technology, and video compression for the web.
The Video and Multimedia Internship will consist of approximately 20-25 hours per week, with a maximum of 1000 hours per fiscal year. The work schedule and hours are flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.; a flex schedule may be available. Limited weekends and evenings may be available.

Experience:
None required.
AND
Training:
Equivalent to the completion the twelfth (12th) grade. Current enrollment in six or more units towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration or a field related to area of assignment.
AND
License or Certificate:
Some assignments may require possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.
