Position: Seasonal Guest Service Manager
Reports To: Resort Manager
Overview:
Are you a friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented individual who loves the great outdoors? Do you enjoy helping people have an unforgettable experience while staying in a beautiful RV campground resort? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As our Welcome Wagon Leader, you will be the face of our campground, ensuring every guest feels welcome and gets the most out of their stay. From checking guests in and out to assisting with rentals and managing the gift store, you’ll be the go-to person for all things fun, relaxing, and unforgettable!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
- Greet every guest with a warm smile and friendly attitude upon arrival, and ensure they’re excited to stay at our beautiful campground.
- Efficiently check guests in, providing them with all the essential information for their stay, including campsite rules, resort amenities, and fun activities.
- Handle guest check-out smoothly, ensuring all charges are correct and guests are happy with their experiences
2. Reservations & Guest Assistance:
- Take reservations over the phone, online, or in person, ensuring guests are set up with the perfect spot to enjoy their stay.
- Answer guest inquiries about campground activities, local attractions, or any other information to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
- Be the ultimate resource for guests, helping them with questions about their reservations, activities, or anything they might need during their stay.
3. Kayak & Paddle board Rentals:
- Manage the rental program for kayaks, paddle boards, and other water activities. Help guests select the right equipment, provide safety instructions, and ensure they have the time of their lives on the water.
- Monitor the condition of the rental equipment, ensuring everything is well-maintained and ready for the next adventure.
- Keep track of rental inventory and handle payments for watercraft rentals.
4. Gift Store Cashier & Customer Service:
- Be the friendly face behind the counter, helping guests find souvenirs, snacks, and essential items they may need during their stay.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle money with accuracy and efficiency.
- Keep the gift store stocked, organized, and looking great by tidying up displays and ensuring popular items are well-stocked.
5. Problem Solving & Guest Happiness:
- Anticipate guest needs and go above and beyond to create amazing experiences, from offering the best places to relax around the campground to recommending fun local activities.
- Address any guest concerns or special requests with a smile, always striving for a positive and memorable resolution.
- Stay calm when handling any issues that arise, ensuring guests leave with a smile.
- Assist with event set-ups or special guest requests to enhance their experience during their stay.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Customer service experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important!
- Previous experience with reservations systems, cash handling, or managing rental programs is great but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills – you’re comfortable talking with all types of people and making them feel at home.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy environment while keeping things fun.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for making guests' experiences special.
- Flexible schedule and a readiness to work weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons.
