About Atos Medical: Atos Medical is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with respiratory and voice care needs. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Direct-to-consumer (DTC) Medical Sales Intern n to join our team this summer.

 

Position Overview: As a DTC Medical Sales Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our U.S. customer call-center operations and inside sales functions. Your efforts will focus on optimizing customer satisfaction and driving profitable growth through effective inside sales activities. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to assist with initiatives related to client retention and revenue generation throughout the sales cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Take requests via phone or web shop and ensure accurate order entry.
  • Communicate essential client information necessary for scheduling product shipments.
  • Process assigned web-shop orders.
  • Maintain accurate departmental notes regarding insurance, sales, customer orders, and demographic information.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Insurance, and Accounting Departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with the Insurance Department to ensure proper billing to insurance companies, contracts, and third-party payers.

Sales Function:

  • Handle a variety of inbound and outbound customer calls.
  • Conduct customer outreach and contact potential new customers referred by outside leads, doctors’ orders, insurance information, and web shop inquiries.
  • Process existing customer sales orders according to departmental instructions and quality procedures.
  • Train on the complete catalog of Atos Medical’s medical devices to provide technical product support and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Support various stakeholders in monthly appointment planning and sales-related tasks for North America.

Qualifications:

  • Current Junior standing for the 2024/2025 academic year
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to analyze and maintain large quantities of data

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with the use of technology with programs such as MS Word and Excel, Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Must have attention to detail and able to maintain accurate data entry activities.
  • Possesses problem solving skills and takes the initiative to resolve deadline conflicts.
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Outstanding communicator and proactively works to resolve issues with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
