Business Development Intern
About Us:
The Collectif is a boutique consulting firm dedicated to moving resources toward democracy and social justice. We partner with small- to mid-sized NGOs and grantmaking foundations, offering full-service fundraising, philanthropic advising, and strategic communications. Our work spans multiple continents, supporting movements that fight corporate greenwashing, far-right extremism, and climate injustice while strengthening democratic institutions.
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Intern to help us grow our client base, strengthen partnerships, and expand our reach. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in business development, nonprofit consulting, and philanthropy. This is an unpaid internship at 10 to 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients, partners, and funding opportunities
- Assist in outreach, prospecting, and follow-ups with NGOs and foundations
- Support proposal writing, presentations, and pitch materials
- Help manage our CRM, build and track leads
- Analyze industry trends and competitor strategies to inform our business development efforts
- Collaborate with our team to refine our value proposition and market positioning
Who You Are
- Interested in philanthropy, nonprofits, and social impact
- Detail-oriented with excellent writing and research skills
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Studying business at the undergraduate graduate level
- Culturally familiar with the United States
