Summer Intern- Information Technology
Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 hourly (based on education level)
INTRODUCTION: Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be forwarded to the hiring department for further review. Those who possess the strongest skills and experience will be invited by the Hiring Department for an interview.
Hours of Work: This position will begin May 2025 and end August 2025. Up to 40 hours weekly between Mon-Thurs 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, helping others, working within a collaborative team, and is working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
GENERAL PURPOSE: This position will support the IT Operations division with daily support tasks that ensure our technology remains reliable for the community and organization. Specific tasks will include providing customer support via phone and in-person to internal business partners, computer software and hardware troubleshooting, computer accessory support and troubleshooting, technology deployments (PCs, Mobile Devices, Server and Networking hardware), asset management, data analysis, and other level 1 support tasks as needed. The selected candidates will be exposed to and offered opportunities to shadow senior-level and leadership staff providing valuable career insight to all levels of an enterprise IT environment. ELIGIBILITY/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program
-Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
-Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
-Available to work up to 40 hours weekly
-A valid Nevada driver’s license
-Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus
