HR Operations Internship
Join Maverik’s People Team for a hands-on internship experience focused on high-impact, cross-functional HR projects. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the inner workings of People Operations, from job documentation to stakeholder support and employee enablement.
Location: Des Moines IA | Hybrid
Pay: $15.00/hour for Bachelors Program, $21.00/hour for Masters Program | ~30 hours/week

Key Projects You'll Support:
Job Description Modernization:
Help update and organize job descriptions to reflect current roles and our evolving org structure. You’ll track changes, maintain version control, and ensure we have accurate documentation across departments.
People Partner Tools & Reporting:
Collaborate with the Finance Reporting/Ridgeline team to assist in building reporting dashboards and stakeholder-facing tools that help People Partners support the business more effectively.
People Assist Enablement:
Audit existing People Assist forms, identify gaps, and support the design of new tools and resources. You’ll also help prepare and facilitate training sessions for leaders and team members.

Qualifications:
A full-time college student who has completed their sophomore year by the beginning of the internship.
Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a degree related to marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn about supply chains and vendor management.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Works effectively and cooperatively with others.
