About For My Sister

For My Sister is a mental health subscription company designed for Black millennial women. We curate self-care boxes and build a community focused on wellness, sisterhood, and self-love. As we continue to grow, we are seeking two Fundraising & Grant Writing Interns to help secure funding opportunities, build relationships with donors, and develop impactful grant proposals.

About the Role

As a Fundraising & Grant Writing Intern, you will play a key role in identifying and securing funding sources to support For My Sister’s mission. You will research grant opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and assist in donor outreach and fundraising initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations. This is an unpaid position.

What You’ll Do

💰 Research and identify grant opportunities that align with For My Sister’s mission
📄 Assist in writing and editing grant proposals and applications
📢 Develop fundraising campaigns to engage potential donors and sponsors
🤝 Research and reach out to potential donors, corporate sponsors, and funding partners
📊 Track grant deadlines, submissions, and follow-up requirements
📝 Help draft impact reports and donor communications

Who You Are

✨ Passionate about mental health, women’s empowerment, and fundraising
✨ Strong research and writing skills (grant writing experience is a plus!)
✨ Organized and detail-oriented, able to track multiple grant opportunities
✨ Comfortable reaching out to potential donors and corporate sponsors
✨ Excited to learn and grow in the fundraising and nonprofit sector
