Make a Splash in Live Event Production!

Join the production team behind one of Metro Detroit’s most prestigious private club swim events. The Annual All-District Swim Final brings together 14 elite country clubs for a thrilling three-day championship at the stunning Edgewood Country Club. With Edgewood’s brand-new, state-of-the-art Daktronics LED video display, this is your chance to produce and direct unforgettable live and recorded content for thousands of spectators.

This is a hands-on, immersive internship where you will work closely with top club management, the event committee, and our professional contracted production team to create both live and pre-recorded content throughout the summer. Your work will be seen not only at the final championship event but also at Edgewood’s home meets and across displays throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

🎥 Content Production & Direction

• Lead the creation of both live and pre-recorded video and audio content, including athlete profiles, highlight reels, interviews, and opening/closing ceremony videos.

🤝 Club & Committee Collaboration

• Work directly with club management teams and the event committee to gather materials and produce high-quality features aligned with the event’s premium standards.

📣 Sponsor Integration

• Partner with key strategic sponsors to design and produce engaging advertising content for display at the swim finals and on Edgewood’s LED display throughout the summer.

🎬 Live Event Production

• Manage real-time content creation and integration alongside the production team and additional interns, engaging spectators with live updates, interactive features, and dynamic content.

⚙️ Technical Oversight

• Work hand-in-hand with our professional contracted production team to oversee the setup and operation of the Daktronics LED display, ensuring seamless delivery of all media.
• Knowledge of Daktronics Show Control software is highly beneficial for this role.

🏊 Event Preparation

• Be on-site during Edgewood Country Club’s home swim meets to build familiarity with the production environment, capture live content, and prepare for the championship event.

🎞️ Post-Production

• Assist with editing and final production of content for post-event highlight reels and club media archives.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Media Production, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field.
• Experience with video and audio editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with live event production workflows is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with Daktronics Show Control software is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and handle several projects simultaneously.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about storytelling.
• Availability for pre-event planning meetings, Edgewood home meets, on-site production days, and post-event wrap-up.
