Arts Administration Intern

Classical Tahoe  is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as an Arts Administration Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore various roles in a non-profit arts organization while contributing to a meaningful cause. You’ll gain hands-on experience in working in communications, marketing, front of house, box office, production, and hospitality. Responsibilities: 

Communications & Content Creation: 

  • Work with Communications Manager to conceptualize and create compelling content for our social media channels, website, and/or blog to grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, etc.) 
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos to use in social media campaigns.
  •  Contribute to the development of written content, including social posts, marketing copy. 
  • Help to upload content and keep internal asset storage organized. 

Front of House & Box Office Management: 

  • Assist Box Office team with answering the phone, patrons interested in purchasing tickets, and printing reports & door lists. 
  • Assist Front of House Manager with arranging and maintaining the courtyard and managing volunteers. 
  • Set up and tear down with the team for events such as, encore receptions, inside looks, musician/staff lunches, and open rehearsals. 
  • Interact with patrons and donors over the phone and in person

Production & Hospitality: 

  • Assist with coordination of Front of House event decor setup and takedown, including weekly laundering of linens 
  • Assist Production & Hospitality Coordinator with errands and shopping for hospitality supplies and catering as needed, including daily ice runs 
  • Assist with setup for events as needed 

Qualifications: 

  • Creative thinker with a positive attitude and passion for the arts 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills 
  • Well developed writing and communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to lift/carry up to ~30lbs 
  • At least 18 years of age 
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Photography and videography skills, with basic knowledge of design tools & software is a plus (e.g., Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox).
