About the Position

The GIIN’s Operations team is seeking an Operations Summer Associate to support office management, event coordination, contract facilitation, and internal communications. This role ensures a well-organized and efficient work environment by managing office supplies, coordinating IT onboarding, maintaining visitor records, and assisting with GIIN events. The Operations Summer Associate will also support internal documentation, SharePoint maintenance, and meeting coordination, gaining hands-on experience in office operations and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Position Description

Office Operations Support:
 

  • Assist in the daily operations of the New York office, ensuring a comfortable and efficient work environment.
  • Support the management of incoming and outgoing mail, including recorded mail processing.
  • Support management of office supplies such as kitchen beverage services, ensuring adequate supplies of coffee, tea, and condiments.
  • Support routine staff member engagement, such as onboarding process
    Assist in maintaining the office visitor registry.
     

Event Planning and Execution:
 

  • Provide support in the planning and execution of GIIN events, including logistical coordination and on-site assistance.
     

Contract Facilitation:
 

  • Assist with the processing of official documents.

Internal Communications:
 

  • Support all forms of office communications through both digital and verbal channels.
  • Assist in taking meeting notes in bi-weekly meetings.
  • Other tasks as directed

Qualifications:
 

  • Organization and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in office management, business and non-profit administration, or impact investing is recommended.
  • Interest in event planning and employee engagement.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently, as a team player.

LOCATION:

While the organization offers significant remote work flexibility through its hybrid model, this position requires a minimum of one day per week in our New York City office, as needed.
Candidates must possess valid authorization to work in the United States that does not require employment visa sponsorship.

Compensation:

The GIIN is committed to pay equity. The salary for this role is $20 per hour, for a total of up to 35 hours per week.
