Account Executive

Account Executive.

Elevate Account Executives are motivated to learn and grow in the field of public affairs. Account Executives are responsible for supporting client accounts in a wide range of areas, from media relations, to coalition building, campaigns, digital communications, and more. Account Executives have the opportunity to work on a unique mix of client accounts to learn about different industry sectors and to learn from different client leads and client teams. We are small but mighty, so our Account Executives have the ability to work directly with clients and get great first-hand experience. No two days are alike, but a typical day might include researching for a client project, developing social media posts, drafting press releases, pitching reporters, or speaking with nonprofits in different communities across California. 

If you have an interest in public affairs and are a critical thinker, a “people-person,” and a good writer, this is the job for you! This is the perfect place to hone your strategic thinking and your understanding of public affairs campaigns. 

Qualifications/Requires Skills.

With up to three years’ experience in one or more of the following: media engagement, digital media, paid media, coalition, or community engagement you will have experience and/or the ability to learn to:

· Support senior team members on client work

· Develop effective media lists 

· Execute effective reporter pitches

· Develop written materials including press releases, opinion editorials, fact sheets, FAQ, and talking points

· Prepare social media posts

· Develop coalition lists 

· Contact community organizations to build coalitions

· Support press conferences, city council, planning meetings, community engagement activities, and other related client activities

Compensation for the role is between $55,000 - $71,000 annually. Salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
