Marketing Intern

Position Overview: The Marketing Intern will be responsible for supporting the marketing team with key deliverables and assisting with internal processes to ensure we are exceeding client expectations.

This position is centered around personal development within the marketing industry, with the aim to bolster the individual’s knowledge of essential marketing skills and deliverables. The outcome of this internship with be guided by the individual’s personal goals and areas of desired growth.

This position is on-site at our Des Moines, IA location.

Schedule: Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM. This position is offered for part-time applicants with a minimum of 25 hours worked per week and a maximum of 40 hours worked per week.

Job Responsibilities

The person in this position will assist with:

Blogs and Newsletters

  • Writing outlines and providing research support for monthly blogs
  • Creating graphics and templates for monthly blogs and client newsletters

Social Media

  • Writing engaging social media copy promoting health tips, pharmacy services, and reminders (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business, etc.)
  • Using Adobe design programs to create social media graphics corresponding with social media copy (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business, etc.)
  • Creating videos for Facebook/Instagram reels and TikTok (for GRX and Finch)
  • Pulling analytics of posts and ads
  • Checking Facebook and Instagram comments; checking Google Reviews and responding if needed

Branding

  • Creating guidelines and reviewing materials for brand cohesion

Websites

  • SEO reviews
  • Reviewing websites for facelift recommendations and/or edits

Client Support

  • Sitting in on client calls
  • Pulling demographic reports
  • Reviewing marketing plans

Marketing Materials

  • Printing, cutting, and mailing print materials to clients
  • Designing materials as needed using Adobe Suite programs

Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, design, journalism, or something similar, and in their junior year
  • Dedicated to completing full length of internship
  • Some experience with Adobe Suite
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Great at taking initiative
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
