People Development Intern

ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The People Development team provides Sound Physicians colleagues with innovative, forward-thinking, and practical people solutions in recruiting, onboarding, learning and leadership development, coaching, performance, and talent planning (Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, and Emerging Leader programs). 

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The People Teams at Sound are on the cusp of an exciting transition to a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS) which will house all data related to HR, Learning & Development, Payroll, etc., This internship role will be a valuable member to the People Development team where they will support this major project transformation.  This is a 10-week internship from June 2nd – August 8th during which the intern will gain experience in project management, change management, and learning systems. The intern will work with various systems and tools, including our learning management system, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and more.   

 

 

The Details:  This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship that will run from early June through August 2025.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Gather information, perform research and resolve inquiries related to projects as assigned. 
  • Audit and test the new system’s functionality and usability. 
  • Assist with the auditing and transferring of information and content from the old system to the new system. 
  • Utilize software systems to gather data and develop or maintain reporting on special projects as assigned. 
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to gather requirements.  
  • Support learning administrator duties such as maintaining course schedules, rosters, etc. in the LMS. 
  • Support ongoing People Development team initiatives such as the Colleague Experience (CX) Survey

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • A third or fourth year student currently enrolled in an accredited college program, and pursuing an undergraduate degree with an emphasis in human resources, business, or communications.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

 

 

PAY RANGE

 

  • $17.00-$20.00 per hour. Based on experience and geographic location.
