Clinical Research Intern
***MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO MGH ONCE A WEEK FOR THE DURATION OF THE YEAR-LONG INTERNSHIP****
The Massachusetts General Hospital Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation (DCBI) is seeking applicants for a Clinical Research Intern (CRI) position. The aim of the DCBI is to evaluate psychiatric and psychosocial treatments for bipolar disorder, to learn more about the causes and general course of this disorder, and to investigate the pathophysiology of the condition with neuroimaging and other biological markers. Our clinic participates in large-scale, multi-site, NIMH, industry, and privately-sponsored initiatives.
CRIs will conduct a wide range of research activities within the DCBI. Typical tasks include:
- Calling, screening, and summarizing extensive and ongoing studies
- Conducting literature reviews for project development and bibliographical support for publications
- Assisting with reorganization and cleaning of existing raw datasets
- Assisting with IRB and grant proposal preparations
- Performing clerical duties incidental to research-related tasks
- Presenting short talks on relevant clinical and research topics to the DCBI staff
- Indirect patient contact will be granted through observing clinical interviews and scoring subsequent clinical and neuropsychiatric assessments
- Present posters at local and national conferences
THIS IS A PAID IN-PERSON PART-TIME POSITION ($1000/SEMESTER; 10-12 HOURS PER WEEK), COMMITMENT FOR THE FULL ACADEMIC YEAR IS REQUIRED.
