Job Opening: Science Educator

Location: Little Axe Public Schools in Oklahoma
Position: Full-Time Science Educator, coaching duties possible
Start Date: 2025-26 School year

Position Overview:
Little Axe Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and passionate Science Educator to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be certified to teach Physical Science, with coaching duties possible. This individual will be able to cover foundational pieces of chemistry and physics, while maintaining a collaborative, inclusive learning environment for students of all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment for students to grow and succeed.
  • Teach with a focus on developing strong foundational skills and preparing students for higher-level sciences.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and school administration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular opportunities and enhance the overall science program.
  • Oversee a daily advocacy period to mentor, develop, and maintain positive relationships with students.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field).

  • Certification in Physical Science (or eligibility to obtain certification).
  • Strong proficiency in science instruction.
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for advancing the school’s ongoing program(s).
