Role Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team this summer. This unpaid internship provides hands-on experience in an edtech startup, working closely with our leadership on product development, marketing, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Outreach & Market Discovery:
  • Use AI tools to help generate personalized outreach messages and LinkedIn invitations tailored to school decision-makers—based on publicly available information such as bios, interests, and institutional focus.
  • Help build and enrich our business development database by researching innovative private schools and educational leaders across Colombia and Latin America.
  • Analyze each school's mission, tech-readiness, and growth stage to identify high-potential early adopters aligned with Mesa Education's vision.
  • Craft strategically worded outreach campaigns designed to resonate with innovators and changemakers in education, increasing the likelihood of high-quality meetings for our founding team.
  • Gain practical experience in crossing the chasm—a critical step in startup growth—by helping us connect with early adopters and pilot partners that shape the future of our product.
• Product Development (AI-Powered Content Transformation & Gamification)
  • Learn how to use cutting-edge generative AI tools and prompt engineering to transform unstructured educational content into structured formats for gamified learning.
  • Extract vocabulary and key concepts from publicly available materials (e.g., Colombia Aprende) using smart AI prompts—no manual data entry required.
  • Organize extracted content by subject, grade level, and difficulty to support personalized and level-based learning in our educational games.
  • Help design and test interactive learning experiences powered by the structured data you helped generate, making education fun and accessible for students across Latin America.
  • Gain practical experience in AI-assisted product development for both B2C and B2B edtech platforms.
• Social Media & Marketing:
  • Create engaging one-page brochures for the company and each of its products.
  • Design visually appealing materials that communicate product features and benefits.
  • Assist in developing TikTok and Instagram content, including quizzes and educational videos.
  • Use AI video-generation tools or basic video editing software to create engaging posts.

Requirements:

• Passion for education, learning, and technology.
• Strong research and data entry skills.
• Experience with Google Sheets and basic spreadsheet functions.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Basic design skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva, Adobe, etc )
• Familiarity with social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
