Marketing/Social Media Graphic Designer Intern

About Us:
The Hejl Foundation is a private family foundation committed to creating meaningful and lasting change through national and global philanthropic efforts. As an extension of our foundation, First Philanthropy serves as a strategic partner in maximizing the impact of charitable giving, guiding individuals and families through establishing, refining, or transitioning their philanthropic legacy.

We are seeking a creative and motivated graphic design student with a passion for marketing and nonprofit work to join our dynamic team. This role will offer hands-on experience in creating impactful digital content for both The Hejl Foundation and First Philanthropy.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Content Creation: Design and manage engaging visuals for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) to highlight the impact of our philanthropic efforts.
  • Yearly Booklets & Reports: Assist in the design and layout of our annual report and other major publications that reflect our mission, vision, and progress.
  • Marketing Emails: Create visually appealing email templates and graphics for newsletters and marketing campaigns aimed at donors, partners, and the public.
  • Video Content: Support the creation and editing of video content, including promotional videos, event highlights, and donor testimonials.
  • Event Coverage: Attend galas and other philanthropic events to capture live visuals and create content that highlights these important gatherings. This could include photography, videography, and live social media updates.
  • Collaborative Work: Work alongside our marketing and outreach team to brainstorm and execute creative campaigns that amplify the foundation's message and goals.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A current art school student or recent graduate with a strong passion for marketing, nonprofit work, and digital storytelling.
  • Proficient in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; experience with video editing tools a plus).
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills and an eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • A proactive attitude and a drive to learn and grow in a real-world creative environment.
  • A genuine passion for philanthropy and making a positive impact.
  • Willingness to attend galas and other philanthropic events to capture content live.
