Summer Intern for Member Services/Marketing Department
Sawnee EMC is seeking a Summer Intern for Member Services/Marketing Department. Requires current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
Preferred experience in administrative duties. Must have strong computer, mathematical and communication skills. This position will offer interacting with an experienced team in a corporation environment.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university program, Junior or Senior level student working on a BS in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration degree or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and develop relationships across functional groups.
- Self-motivated, punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- High initiative and sense of urgency; self-starter; strong and effective multi-tasker.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete data entry in Excel for related programs.
- Records, routes, and maintains appropriate records.
- Create, deliver, edit, and optimize marketing materials (presentations, brochures, services and project specific information sheets and company introductory letters).
- Research industry trends.
- Assist management with the preparation of events, projects, campaigns, and/or reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- High level of competency working within a Windows and MS Office environment, to include knowledge of Word Processing software (MS Word); Spreadsheet software (MS Excel); Internet, and other software in use by the Corporation. Advanced working abilities developing spreadsheets and graphs, building and operating formulas, input into databases and constructing presentations.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills enabling successful communication of programs and products through public engagements, face-to-face and telephone discussion, and through written presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact productively with employees, members and the general public.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively plan and coordinate projects and goals, and to economize the utilization of both time and equipment.
- Excellent creative skills to steadily produce innovative new ideas and solutions.
