Manager of Community Outreach

The Latino Outreach Initiative (LOI) Manager of Community Outreach is responsible for developing guidelines and productivity standards to achieve the overall organizational mission and program objectives. This role supports the LOI program by establishing community partnerships, supervising staff, and assisting Latino clients with job placement, resettlement, and access to essential services. The Manager will work closely with leadership to ensure the successful execution of LOI initiatives and maintain the highest level of program effectiveness.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise LOI staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

Assist the VP of LOI in recruiting and resettling clients.

Support Latino Outreach Initiative applicants with job searches and family resettlement.

Connect clients to businesses and community services to facilitate a seamless transition.

Assist families in enrolling school-age children in public schools and pre-school-age children in daycare.

Provide interpretation services as needed for clients.

Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to the Latino Outreach Initiative.

Promote the Latino Outreach Initiative at local and national levels.

Establish partnerships and collaborations to support the mission of the International Institute of St. Louis.

Organize workflows, set staff work goals, and develop productivity standards to align with organizational objectives.

Delegate responsibilities appropriately to staff to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Conduct staff performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster professional development.

Serve as an essential member of the leadership team, effectively liaising between leadership and staff.


 

Required Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural environment.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and solution-focused approach.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Microsoft 365.

Spanish preferred, but not required.


 

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred.
